Our previously adopted Ferrets 2006.
A warm thank you to all our Adopters!

12/31/06 Cocoa and Clover
Cocoa
arrived as a stray from Green Bay.  She had been found running in a park.  She is kind of timid at first and tends to be a "Velcro" ferret until she feels more at ease.  She was very underweight, but has been eating and drinking well.  She also really likes the company of other mellow ferrets (she has been caged with Clover, Tina and Paul).  We believe she was probably born early to mid 2002.  Vet check and distemper done on 5/30/06.

Clover was surrendered with her sister (went to the bridge 7/3/06) because of pregnancy.  Clover is an absolute sweetheart with no history of nipping.  She is tiny, active, playful and loves toys.  She was afraid of ferrets other than her sister, but has accepted Tina, Paul and Cocoa (with a minimal amount of hissing and dramatics) as company.  She was reportedly born in Feb, 2002.  Vet check and distemper done on 6/19/06.

12/30/06 Zoie and Casey

12/30/06 Goober, Beaker, Thumper and Sebastian (all to the same home-thank you Felicia and Bill)

Beaker & Goober

Note: food coloring used to ID

Beaker (dark-eyed white) and Goober (blonde) were originally brought to FVF in Feb 2006.  They were quickly adopted, but returned in Sept 2006 because of an unexpected move.  Beaker is quiet and shy, but he gives kisses once he gets comfortable with you.  He is deaf.  He was probably born early in 2004.  Goober is very free with his kisses.  He is outgoing when it comes to asking for attention.  He tends to sit back and watches before getting involved in play with other animals.  He loves to destroy Velcro.  He was probably born summer of 2002.  Vet check and distemper scheduled were done on 3/2/06 (AMC).  Potential adopter identified.

Thumper (male) is very sweet and gives kisses.  He has been with other ferrets, but arrived as a "suddenly only".  As a result, he was depressed and refused to eat.  He was put with Beaker and goober as soon as possible and has been doing better, although he is still thin.  He MUST be with other ferrets, and would probably like to stay with Beaker and Goober if possible.  He needs some work on litter training, but has been improving.  We are estimating that he was born mid 2002.  Vet check and distemper shot done on 9/15/06.  Potential adopter identified.

Sebastian was surrendered with two other ferrets when their owner moved into a "no pets" apartment.  Sebastian loves getting attention and giving kisses.  He will occasionally get excited and nip his person to say "pay attention to me".  He was playing to roughly with his sister, so they have been separated.  He was likely born in Dec, 2004.  He has a rabies vaccination which is valid until 12/15/06 and a distemper vaccination which is valid until 1/31/07 (done at Animal Hospital of Oshkosh).  He was health checked on 3/2/06 (AMC).

12/29/06 Sable arrived via BAHS when her owner could no longer care for her.  She came in with her sister, who was underweight and not doing well.  After her sister went to the bridge, we introduced Sable to Belle in the hopes that they would bond.  Sable is a very playful girl who is a wonderful wardancer.  She has not shown any nipping behavior here.  She wa vet checked and had her distemper shot on 10/17/06.

12/28/06 Gypsy and "the Baby"

Mizu (water) and Yozu (air) (ADOPTED 12-03-06) were surrendered on 11/16 because their owner could no longer keep them. They are very sweet with no history of biting or nipping. They are playful and love attention. They have been around cats, dogs and young kids with no problems. Based on their teeth, they were probably born spring or summer of 2004. Their vet checks and distemper shots were done on 11/21/06. Yozu is scheduled to have a broken tooth removed on 11/27/06.

Bandit (ADOPTED 11-26-06) and his brother arrived on 3/24/06 as the result of allergies.  Bandit is described as playful and active.  He MUST be with other ferrets, but is dominant.  He has shown himself to be quite the jumper.  Bandit has gotten somewhat aggressive at times, especially when he is excited and playing.  We do not believe he means to hurt anyone, but rather gets so excited he loses control.  This makes him appropriate for experienced owners only, and resulted in the decision to place his very sweet brother in a home with another mellow ferret.  Bandit was most likely born late 2004.  Vet check and distemper shot done on 4/17/06.

Mr. Man and Thumper (female) (ADOPTED 11-26-06) arrived because their owner has been taking care of a number of very young grandchildren and the ferrets were not getting the time out of cage they needed.  According to the information received, Thumper loves to cuddle.  She plays a game where she runs and hides, then jumps out at you as you go past.  Mr. Man also likes to run and play.  They lived with a cat and a german shepherd and did not have any issues with them.  They also both love kids.  Neither appreciates nail clipping, but they love bathes.  They were most likely born summer of 2003.  Vet check and distemper done on 6/26/06.

Teddy (ADOPTED 11-5-06) arrived at FVF after being left behind when his family was evicted.  He is a big fluffy boy who has a slight limp, probably from an old injury.  He is very people focused and loves to play.  He has been introduced to other ferrets, and wants to play, but if they attempt to dominate him he becomes frightened and runs.  He would probably do well with another mild mannered ferret.  Based on his fur and the condition of his teeth, we are estimating Teddy was born January 2006.  He had his distemper shot and vet check on 10/17/06.

(ADOPTED 10-7-06)
Blackie and Whitey
Phoenix and Panda
Grady (aka Gracie)

Fozzie (ADOPTED 10-7-06) is a very sweet ferret who loves to give kisses and play with his family.  He gets along with cats, but tends to be hyper dominant when it comes to other ferrets.  Because of this, we believe he would be happiest as an only ferret.  Fozzie wants lots of out of cage time, and will grab the bars with his teeth and rattle the cage.  He was most likely born mid 2003.  Vet check and distemper shot done on 9/14/06.

Raidin (ADOPTED 9-19-06) was surrendered on 8/25/06 because his owners had "too many animals".  According to the former owner, Raidin has always been a very nice ferret and has no history of biting, even with young children.  Raidin was scheduled to arrive with another ferret, but that ferret was killed by a dog in the household as the owner was getting ready to bring them to FVF.  Raidin apparently did not see it, and started playing as soon as he arrived at FVF.  Because he has been with another ferret, we believe he would do best in a house with another ferret about his age.  Raidin had been feed cat food, and his coat was very coarse.  After a week on good ferret diet, his coat has softened and started thickening.  Based on the condition of his teeth, he was most likely born mid to late 2002.  Vet check and distemper done on 8/31/06.

Levi and Cipher (ADOPTED 9-9-06) arrived separately the same day.  Because they had been born within days of each other, they were introduced and became buddies.  They are very active, with Levi often taking the lead and initiating play.  Cipher tends to be a little more of a cuddler.  They need work on litter training and playing appropriately with people (they are still doing the baby nipping/grabbing).  Cipher has a tendency to sleep in the litter pan; we are trying to convince him there are better places to sleep.  They were both born January of 2006.  Vet check and distemper booster done on 5/30/06.

Sheila (ADOPTED 8-20-06) arrived with her brother on 1/21/06 as the result of an unplanned pregnancy.  After nearly six months, it became apparent that Sheila's behavior was preventing her brother from getting a home and the decision was made to place him in a home with another ferret.  Sheila is doing fine in the ferret room and doesn't seem to realize her brother is gone.  She will be fine as long as she has other ferrets to socialize with.  Sheila is extremely active and loves interaction and play.  She will nip during play, or to get attention, sometimes these nips become bites.  She seems to love targeting ankles and feet.  She is an escape artist who loves human contact.  She was born late March or early April 2003.  Vet check and distemper done on 1/24/06.

Dudley and Baby

Dudley and Baby (ADOPTED 8-19-06) arrived on 9/3/05 with a third ferret who recently went to the bridge.    Dudley was born in Dec 2002 or Jan 2003 and is described as having "lots of energy". He loves to hide stuffed toys. Baby was born in Dec 2001 or Jan 2002. She is described as a "sassy girl" who loves the company of the other ferrets and enjoys jumping onto human legs and likes to nip on toes.  She loves to play with rubber toys (although we don't let her have them unsupervised).  They are very playful and are tightly bonded with each other.  They are extremely picky about their treats and will only take Banana-Raisin Yogies.  Vet check and distemper done on 9/7/05.

Icarus, and Pablo (ADOPTED 8-12-06) arrived via Oshkosh Humane because of owner allergies.  Although these are not Marshall Farms ferrets, the owner stated that they are descented and they are obviously neutered.  According to the people at Oshkosh Humane, these ferrets are very sweet and will follow people around "like puppies" when they are left out of their cage.  Icarus is the more energetic of the two, although both seem very happy and playful.  They have reportedly been around a beagle, which they tolerated, and children in their early teens.  Neither had been exposed to a litter pan prior to arrival at OAHS, they currently think it is the greatest bed in the world (and potty next to it).  They were most likely born summer of 2004.  Vet check and distemper shots on 6/27/06.

Thelma (ADOPTED 8-11-06) is a dilute silver who was with other ferrets but has not accepted company since they past away.  She is people oriented, but does sometimes nip.  She would do best with an owner who has plenty of time to spend with her everyday as she loves to run, play and explore.  She was born in May, 2002.  Her vet check and distemper shot was done on 7/7/05 (AMC).

Molly (ADOPTED 7-28-06) was surrendered because she was purchased as a child's pet and the child stopped caring for her.  Molly has been very sweet at FVF, but while exited may nip.  She was placed in a home, but returned a week later because she was biting the female members of the household-but was fine with males.  We believe this may stem from the fact that she was originally neglected by females.  According to information received by FVF, the girl would neglect to tell her mother she was running out of ferret food, only saying something when the dish and food bag was empty.  Frequently this meant that the mother would run to the grocery store and buy whatever was available rather than a good quality, ferret appropriate diet.  Because she seems to have issues with females, she should go to a home with a male.  She also needs a home with other ferrets.  Molly was probably born around Sept 2005.  Vet check and distemper done on 3/27/06 (AMC).

Nip (ADOPTED 7-13-06) arrived on 3/24/06 as the result of allergies.  According to reports Nip lives up to his name.  The person surrendering him disclosed that some days Nip is really good, other days he will grab on to someone and draw blood.  At FVF we have not seen ANY biting behavior from Nip.  Vet checks and distempers shots done on 4/17/06.

Maybel (ADOPTED 7-13-06) is an active little girl who was surrendered to BAHS because she kept getting out of her cage and didn't use the litter pan.  At FVF she has been using the litter pan while caged, and we are working with her on using it at other times.  We also have her in a cage she hasn't been able to escape from.  From the information received, it did not appear that the owner knew much about ferrets, which contributed to her surrender.  Maybel was briefly adopted, but again her talent for escape brought her back to FVF on 6/17/06.  She was with another ferret at that home, but according to the adopters, she slept with him, but did not play with him-instead she spent all her time trying to get places she didn't belong.  She would likely do well in a home where she has a larger area to roam around (she does well in the ferret room at FVF) as being caged seems to cause her anxiety.  She was most likely born late in 2004.  Vet check and distemper done on 4/7/06 (CV).

Boo (withdrawn from adoption) and Berry (ADOPTED 6-27-06) arrived on 5/9/06 as the result of financial difficulties following an accident.  Both are described as good ferrets, very loving.  Boo arrived with a large chordoma on his tail, it was removed on 5/10/06.  He has healed well.  Boo is very active for his age and we have found that he will occasionally play a little too rough, grabbing arms or hands.  He will also give a light warning nip when he doesn't want to be fussed with.  Boo was born May 6-12, 2001.  Berry is active and inquisitive.  She seems very attached to Boo in spite of the age difference, although she does seem to enjoy playing with other ferrets as well.  She was probably born Spring of 2004.  Vet checks and distemper shots done on 5/10/06.

Dougie (ADOPTED 6-25-06) arrived as a stray.  He was found wandering along a road in Oshkosh.  The people who found him put up posters and notified the sheriff's department.  When no owner came forward, they surrendered him to FVF on 5/11/06.  He is a very nice ferret, and reportedly got along with dogs, cats and kids.  He was adopted briefly, but escaped from his cage (not a ferret cage) and was stepped on twice by a child in the house, so the decision was made to bring him back for his own safety.  He has integrated into the ferret room, and would like a home with another ferret or two.  He was probably born summer of 2004.  Vet check and distemper done on 5/15/06.

Jasmine (ADOPTED 6-25-06) is a very sweet girl who was surrendered because her family was moving and could not take the pets.  She is very people focused and seems to enjoy climbing up on your shoulders if you are sitting on the floor.  Jasmine has lived with cats, and reportedly enjoyed "wrestling" with them.  We have introduced her to some other ferrets here at FVF, she was interested, but got a little rough in her play with them.  She reportedly has been around very young children with no issues.  She is a little thin, probably from eating cat food, but she is healthy and we expect her to put on weight quickly.  Vet check and distemper done on 5/23/06.

Tasha (ADOPTED 6-17-06) is an incredibly sweet and people focused girl.  She had been with another ferret in the past, but has been wary of the other ferrets here at FVF.  She seems fine with cats and has been with kids as young as 7.  She loves attention and being on shoulders.  She likes to play with soft toys.  She was reportedly born in Oct of 2003.  Her former owners provided complete vet records that show her distemper and rabies vaccinations good until 1/07.  She had a health check on 5/30/06.

Sheila and Tweak (ADOPTED 6-13-06) arrived on 1/21/06 as the result of an unplanned pregnancy.  These two are extremely active and love interaction and play.  Sheila will nip during play, or to get attention, sometimes these nips are hard.  She seems to love targeting ankles and feet.  Both are escape artists who love human contact.  They were born late March or early April 2003.  Vet check and distemper done on 1/24/06.

Klepto, (ADOPTED 5-29-06) was surrendered (with his two sisters, already adopted) because their owners are moving to Louisiana and did not want to risk the long drive with the ferrets in the back of a van.   Klepto is described as a thief who will climb to get the things he wants.  He is very friendly and good with kids.  Because he has been with other ferrets all his life, he should not be considered as an "only".  He was likely born spring or summer of 2002.  Vet check and distemper done on 5/10/06.

Belle (ADOPTED 5-09-06)

Jasmine (ADOPTED 5-06-06) and her sister (classified as unadoptable due to health) were surrendered when their family moved into a "no pets" apartment.  Jasmine was described as an active ferret that like to run, but who "plays wild sometimes".  As part of this "wild" play she does sometimes nip/bite.  Jasmine had a tumor on her tail which was removed on 2/6/06.  She recovered nicely and is ready to meet prospective adopters.   Jasmine has a reported birth date of March 2003.  Vet check and distemper done on 2/3/06.

Mack (ADOPTED 5-05-06) and his brother (Bruce went to the bridge 3/27/06 as the result of an inoperable tumor) were surrendered when their owner went away to school. Mack is a very people focused ferret who reportedly followed his former owner around the house. He had some (apparent) depression after first arriving at FVF and stopped eating. He got baby food a couple times a day to encourage his appetite, which worked. The attention he got being finger fed was probably as important to him as the food itself. He still gets baby food as a special treat or when he is stressed out from being dominated by another ferret. He needs a home where he will get a great deal of attention. Mack reportedly loves bananas as a treat. Mack was reportedly born 12/03. Vet check and distemper done on 10/25/05.

Maybel (ADOPTED 4-29-06) is an active little girl who was surrendered to BAHS because she kept getting out of her cage and didn't use the litter pan.  At FVF she has been using the litter pan while caged, and we are working with her on using it at other times.  We also have her in a cage she hasn't been able to escape from.  From the information received, it did not appear that the owner knew much about ferrets, which contributed to her surrender.  She was most likely born late in 2004.  Vet check and distemper done on 4/7/06 (CV).

Cubby Joy and Mousie Blue (ADOPTED 4-29-06) are very sweet girls who had been surrendered to FVF and adopted early in 2004.  They came back to FVF in Feb 2006 after the adopter asked a friend to "baby sit" them and then decided she did not want them back.  According to that person, Mousie Blue had started biting at her young children, although we have not seen any negative behaviors here at FVF.  It is believed that Mousie's behavior was stress related.  Mousie Blue is very energetic and likes to explore.  Cubby Joy is also active, but is more of a "follower".  Both really enjoy human interaction.  Cubby Joy was born Mid November 2001, Mousie Blue was born May 2002.  Vet check and distemper shots done on 2/10/06.

Meeko (ADOPTED 4-23-06) and his brother were surrendered when his brother became ill.  His brother went to the bridge on 3/2/06.  Meeko is very active and should not be considered as an only ferret.  He originally lived with a small dog, and enjoyed playing with it.  He also lived with a cat, but "played" too rough with it, from what we have seen here at FVF, Meeko HATES cats attacks them.  He is very high energy.  Meeko was reportedly born Feb 2004.  Distemper and vet check done on 3/3/06.

Nipper and Me-too

Nipper and Me-too (ADOPTED 4-14-06) Nipper is described as a sweet guy who acts like a "tough guy" and likes to wrestle. He is very playful. Me-too was at the pet store with Nipper and since she would have been left alone the owner took "me, too". She is described as "feisty" and does some minor nipping when she is playing. Nipper and Me-too were probably born January 2005.

Rikki (ADOPTED 4-11-06) arrived at BAHS after a person called animal control to report a "baby raccoon" in the backyard.  According to FVF's halfway house, Rikki is very people focused and will follow you around.  She is also very smart and once she saw where the yogies were kept she repeatedly "took" the halfway house mom over to the spot and "begged".  She also liked the kids at the house and did not appear afraid of the dogs.  She was probably born early in 2005.  Vet check and distemper done on 3/15/06.

Gussie and Whitey (ADOPTED 4-09-06) were surrendered to Bay Area Humane because of "moving".  Gussie is very sweet and is a wonderful lap ferret.  She does seem timid in new surroundings however-for example wanting to stay in "mom's" lap or her carrier during her vet visit.  Whitey, on the other hand is very curious and outgoing.  We have noticed that she tends to startle easily, perhaps because she gets so intent on what she is doing.  Her surrender paperwork states that she does occasionally nip/bite when startled, but we have taken care not to frighten her and have not seen any nipping/biting here.  Gussie was probably born early in 2003; Whitey was probably born mid 2002.  Vet check and distemper done on 2/10/06.

Harry (ADOPTED 4-04-06)

Rolo and Pixxie (ADOPTED 3-03-06) were surrendered when their owner no longer had enough time for them. According to the person surrendering them, Rolo is a very nice ferret who likes to be active, but likes to do his running and playing near his person. He has never nipped. Pixxie is more "needy" and will give little "notice me" nips when she feels she is not getting enough attention. She is very good at getting into places she shouldn't and escaping from her cage. She is obsessed with some rubber ducks and will hoard them but never chew on them. Both are very active. Rolo was probably born 12/03, Pixxie was born 5/23/04. Vet checks and distemper done on 2/21/06.

Puss and Boots (ADOPTED 2-21-06) arrived when their owner left them at her mother's home because she had more animals than she was able to house in her apartment.  Her mother liked the ferrets, but didn't have enough time or energy to properly care for them.  Both ferrets have nice temperaments and would make nice "first ferrets".  Puss and Boots were probably born Dec 2003 or Jan 2004.  Vet check and distemper shots done on 1/24/06.

Slinky (ADOPTED 2-17-06) arrived with another ferret (now deceased) when their owner started a new job and could no longer give them the time they needed. Her siblings played with them but did not "keep them up" well enough for their parents. According to the owner's parents (who brought them to FVF) Slinky is a friendly, playful all around good ferret. Slinky has shown some nipping, especially when he is playing and excited. He is reportedly litter trained and played well with a Chihuahua although he has been trying to dominate the cats here. Slinky should not be considered as an only, but needs a friend who will not be intimidated by his dominance attempts and hyper personality. Slinky was probably born early 2003. Vet check and distemper done on 12/6/05.

Koga (ADOPTED 2-05-06) arrived with two other ferrets when their owner left them at her mother's home because she had more animals than she was able to house in her apartment.  Her mother liked the ferrets, but didn't have enough time or energy to properly care for them.  All three ferrets have nice temperaments, although Koga did take a taste of the halfway house mom's nose.  Koga was probably born spring or summer of 2004.  Vet check and distemper shots done on 1/24/06.

Reggie and Joe (ADOPTED 2-05-06) where adopted on 12/24/05 and returned a few weeks later because of job loss and resulting housing loss.  They originally arrived separately, but are now a pair.  Joe is a sweet guy who was originally dumped at an area pet store.  He is large, healthy and is playful, but had a strange odor when dumped.  He accepted a bath just fine and settled in.  Once he moved into the ferret room he had a great deal of fun playing with Reggie and they became a pair.  We are estimating that he was born in April or May 2005.  Vet check and distemper done on 12/6/05.  Reggie arrived with a much older ferret after their owners had a baby and no longer had enough time for them.  Reggie is an active ferret who had a tendency to jump on the older ferret's head while he was trying to sleep, he is much happier with Joe to play with.  Reggie was born January of 2005.  His vet check and distemper shot was done on 11/3/05 (CV).

Charlie and Rascal (ADOPTED 2-01-06) arrived via Fond du Lac humane on 12/18/05. They had been turned in as strays a couple of days apart in Sept 2005. Because of the timing and the location were each was found FVF believes they came from the same owner. Shortly after arrival at the humane society, they became ill and were put into foster care so that they could recover before being turned over to FVF. According to the foster mother, both ferrets are extremely sweet. Rascal is more outgoing while Charlie is clingier and has a tendency to tremble-probably the result of nervousness. Neither has shown any tendency to nip or bite. Charlie was probably born late in 2003; Rascal was probably born late in 2002. Their distemper shots were done by Fond du Lac humane on 9/13/05. They were health checked by the FVF vet on 12/19/05. Rascal had a damaged canine tooth removed on 12/23/05.

Bandit (ADOPTED 1-29-06) arrived as a private surrender when a series of events made it impossible for his owner or his grandmother to keep them.  Bandit is very playful and took special interest in a toy we put in his cage.  He laid on his back and "boxed" it for long periods.  He hasn't shown as much interest in toys since their transition into the ferret room.  He was born Sept of 2002.  Vet checks and distempers shots done on 10/4/05.

Kabanda

Gabriel

Kabanda and Gabriel (ADOPTED 1-26-06) were surrendered because their owner was moving and could not take them.  Prior to arrival at FVF, we suspect they lived in less than clean conditions (based on the condition of the cage they arrived in).  They both had areas that appeared cut or shave-we believe soil was cut out of their fur prior to surrender.  They are playful and active.  Kabanda initially did some nipping/biting during play but this behavior has disappeared during his time at FVF however, because it is in his history, we do not recommend him for a first time owner.  Gabriel was put on Ferretonin implants for adrenal disease, his next is due in Jan 2006.  They were probably born spring or summer of 2002.  Vet check and distemper shots done on 3/3/05.

Zoey  (ADOPTED 1-16-06) arrived on 12/15/05 as a private surrender because her owner will be going into the service shortly.  Zoey is described as a very sweet ferret who was loved and spoiled by her owner.  She has been very playful since arriving here and has shown an interest in the cats living here as well as the other ferrets.  Her birth date is given as 11/11/2001.  She had a health check on 12/19/05.  Her distemper and rabies vaccinations were done at her old vet on June 22, 2005.

Thomas (ADOPTED 1-13-06) arrived on 11/17/05 from Fox Valley Humane.  He had been turned in as a stray.  He was probably born mid 2002.  He has a fair amount of energy and is very interested in playing and sleeping with other ferrets.  He is very tiny-smaller than most females.  He seems to have a nice temperament but has shown some nipping behavior when he wants attention or is feeling insecure.  He was probably born late in 2002.  Vet check and distemper shot done on 11/23/05.  Thomas received a ferretonin implant on 11/22/05.

Farrah (ADOPTED 1-07-06) is a beautiful, lively girl with a wonderful coat.  She arrived through Fond du Lac Humane as an owner surrender, although no reason was given for the surrender.  She was born in late March or early April 2005 according to the paperwork which arrived with her.  She is very sweet and would like to have a home with another young ferret to play with.  Her vet check and distemper shot was done on 11/10/05 (AMC).

Ferrets Removed from Adoption Because of Age Etc.

Rex is a beautiful albino who arrived on 3/7/04 with another ferret who was euthanized on 3/15/04 due to liver cancer.  He was probably born early to mid 1999.  Rex likes attention.  He is very sweet and has lived with a cat and a very young child.  Because he was with another ferret his entire life he should not be considered as an only.  Vet check and distemper done on 3/9/04.

Lucy (removed from adoption when her biting behavior worsened at home) was surrendered (along with Lucky) when her owner could no longer keep her.  Lucy is younger and playful, but tends to bite when she doesn't get her way or something is done to her that she doesn't like (nail clipping, shots).  Proper socialization is improving the behavior, but it may never disappear altogether. Lucy was probably born fall of 2003.  Vet checks and distemper shots were done on 11/30/04.  Lucy is still adoptable to an experienced owner with other ferrets

Otis and Amos were reportedly born in mid 2001.  They were surrendered to Bay Area Humane due to a lack of time.  They arrived at FVF's halfway house underweight with bad coats, but have shown marked improvement.  Amos had a tendency to bite when he first arrived at the halfway house, perhaps because of stress.  His behavior has improved dramatically, though he may still bite at times.  According to the people who surrendered them, they have been with dogs, cats and kids, although they SHOULD NOT be considered for families with children because of Amos' biting.  Otis is much milder tempered and adores attention.  They had vet check and distemper shots on 11/22/04.
